Alexander from Germany grew up in a family, which prefered the blue tractors from Dagenham. No doubt, one of the tractors is still alive and he put pretty much patience and effort to restore the old girl. Thanks for the pictures.

What we here see is a Dexta fitted with an 4-cylinder Perkins AD4-203 engine. Many thanks to Tony for the pictures. Tony was kind enough to tell us a bit about her:

I bought this tractor in France from the owner who converted the tractor, and I sold it in 2005 and I cannot get any more photos, but the conversion is very simple. The engine came from a combine harvester and may have been uprated from the 56 bhp of the M-F 65. The AD4-203 was a modified version of the Perkins P4, and the P4 was a 4-cylinder version of the P3. The Fordson F3 engine in the Super Dexta was derived from the P3. I think the AD4-203 engine was an easy swap for the F3 in the Super Dexta as the attachment arrangements at the front and rear of the block were the same on both engines. The track-rods, radius arms and bonnet had to be lengthened to accomodate the extra cylinder, and the exhaust manifold led to a different position for the exhaust pipe, but there are no serious difficulties. The M-F 158 and early 165 also used the AD4-203 and the engine was popular with several combine harvester manufacturers. This engine in the photos has a 6-bladed fan which is an indication it was used in a combine harvester. I never used the tractor for farm work, but it is possible that the Dexta radiator was struggling to keep the bigger engine cool when worked hard. I don't think it done very much real farm work as the previous owner built it for fun.
