24. April 2004 Mit Hilfe von Zitronensäure habe ich versucht das Kühlsystem zu reinigen. Die Kühlkanäle sind stark verkalkt. Ich habe die Säure mit einer kleinen elektrischen Pumpe durch den Motor gepumpt. Es hat sich auch Kalk gelöst, aber nicht in dem Maße wie ich es gehofft hatte ... My motor block had a lot of lime in the water jackets so I tried to clean it with a solution of citric acid. I used an electric pump to circulate the acid from the bucket to the block. But it didn't work as good as I had hoped it would. Not much lime came out.

26. April 2004. Ich habe gute Nachrichten. Ich habe nochmals Zitronensäure eingefüllt und 2 Tage stehen gelassen. Heute morgen hab ich die Säure abgelassen und seht Euch an wie dreckig sie ist (siehe die 2 Eimer). Frische Säure ist klar wie Wasser. Der ganze Kalk hat sich gelöst. Außerdem bin ich angefangen den Motor zu zerlegen ... I have good news on the lime job. This time I filled my water jackets up and let it set for two days. Citric acid is clear like water, look in the buckets what came out of my block. It got rid of all of it. I will start today stripping down my engine.
